SCERT Kerala has published the Scheme of Work for the Higher Secondary Plus One Course. The entire portions of each subject are divided and grouped together term by term. The scheme of work will inform teachers and students about the topics to be covered in each term. This is being done in order to achieve consistency in the administration of examinations and evaluations in the Higher Secondary Education sector, and thus to create a healthy academic standard for students.
The SCERT scheme of work also provides a clear view of the units and chapters in the Plus One text books allotted for each month to ensure a smooth course of study. The scheme describes each unit in the Higher Secondary Plus One Course Books, the hours of study required to complete the portions, the study periods for each chapter, and so on.
