Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Examination-2013 (HSEE-2013)
Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at IIT Madras is offering a five year integrated Master of Arts Programme for +2 students.
Streams offered:
- Integrated MA in Developmental State
- Integrated MA in English Studies
Total Seats = 46 seats ( Each Stream will have 23 seats)
Pattern of HSEE-2013
Type of Question papers
Part-I Objective type multiple choice questions for 150 minutes administered through
computer
Part-II Essay Writing for 30 minutes
Part I –Exam 1. English and Comprehensive skills
2. Analytical and Quantitative ability
3. General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics (Since Independence), Indian Society, Contemporary World Affairs (Post World War II)
4. Environment and Ecology
Part-II Exam The candidate is required to write an essay on general topic invoving
description, or/and reflection or/and discussion
